Now Dennis Leeper, went he go to school he act like a normal kid. He tries to talk to other friends in his class, try to play with them and also he try to help his friends when they got struck or need help. He always helps his friends but actually they don’t like Dennis anyway, but he still keeps doing this action to his friends.He don’t mind to do this because he thought that if he keep doing this action his friends will act o him like normal.

While I have reading this I predict that next chapter his friends will act o him like he is a normal kid.

"HERO" #2

Now a kid name Dennis Leeper, he knows that Jamie, and Jerry doesn’t want to work with him. He feels really sad, and when he got back home he ask his mother that why no one don’t want to work and play with him but his mother doesn’t answer anything. So now Dennis was wonder about two things that why all of his friends don’t want to play with and also the other thing is why his mother doesn’t tell him that what happen to him. He cry everyday but his mother still don’t tell him anything but she always said that don’t thing too much son, thing will be get better soon.This makes him think that what he will do next to make his friends change their mind to act with him like normal.

While I am reading this I still predict that what happen to this kid? Why his mother doesn’t want him to know? And I also wonder how he going to make his friends change their mind? The strategies that I used to help me are before I read I predict first that while I am reading I try to find the answer about what I have predicted and I also try to read slowly to make sure that I understand what I have read .

"HERO" by Ron Woods #1

Now I have reading a new book called “Hero” by Ron Woods. This book is for my reading respond. The first chapter is about a kid that name is Dennis Leeper, he is boy, and he is a kid that other avoids him. But one day at school he has to do a raft project with one girl and one boy name Jamie, and Jerry but both of them don’t want to work with him but they can’t say any word.

While I have reading this story it remind me of my old friends that first he don’t have anyone that want to work with him so he feel sad but no one care him. In my opinion I think that everyone want someone to care he or she. This chapter makes me a bit sad because I wonder why his friends don’t want to work with him, what he has done or what wrong with him.

All the Years of Her Life... By Morley Callaghan

I have reading a story call “All the Year of her Life” by Morley Callaghan. I think that Alfred, a boy in the story, is a bad boy because in the story tell that he had stolen a lipstick and at least two tubes of toothpaste in your pockets and he did this many times already but he still act that nothing happen and he didn’t do it but actually he did it many times already because in the story said that Mr. Carr was quick to answer, "So now you think you’ll tell me a lie, eh? What kind of fool do I look like? I don't know what goes on in my own store, eh? I tell you, you've been doing this for a long time." So this can show that Alfred had done stolen thing many times already so that is why Mr. Carr can tell. And when Mr. Carr, Alfred’s boss, called his mother to come to listen what his son did and that makes her mother feel sad.

While I have reading this story I used a reading strategy liked for example “Mrs. Higgins lifted the teacup her hand shook. And some of the tea splashed on the table. Her lips moved nervously. She looked very old” so I try to picture of how her lips moved nervously, this make me feel like I am in the story. Another example “Alfred thought his mother would come rushing in, eyes burning with anger. Maybe she would be crying and would push him away when he tried to explain to her. She would make him feel so small. Yet, he wanted her to come quickly before Mr. Carr called in a policeman. Alfred and Mr. Carr waited but said nothing. At last they heard someone at the closed door. Mr. Carr opened it and said, "Come in, Mrs. Higgins." His face was hard and serious.” First I predict that her mother will come with an angry feeling but it is opposite.

"The Enchanted Garden"

I am reading the book called "The Enchanted Garden" which was written by Italo Calvino. Our class had discuss about this story and one of my friend “Pueng” said that may be the theme of this story is about life that is not easy. No matter what you are rich or poor, most of them will not have a perfect life. Same as in this story the two children; they don’t have a perfect life. They have play in the garden called The Enchanted Garden but they were not happy to play in this garden because they afraid that other people will see them and catch them.

While I have reading this story I used a reading strategy to help me to understand the story like for example some paragraph I don’t understand what is it about so I re-read the paragraph again and also read it slowly to make sure that I understand right like example in the story “they found themselves in the corner of the garden, on all fours in a flower bed, with their full of dry leaves and moss.”

This chapter Katie is not going to school because she has to go to a cemetery for her parent. She was crying a lot when she went there. She want to see her parents so much she want to spend time with them again but that cant happen anymore. She wants to do a good thing to her mother because when her mother was alive she doesn’t do good thing to her mom.

I think she is kind of a sad thing to hear that daughter doesn’t like her mother. Sometime I didn’t do a good thing to my mother like some time when she tell me to do thing but sometime I said “why I have to do” in bad voice. But now I think that she want me to do may be because of some reason. So I think we should love our parents very much because they also love you too.

This chapter Katie ask her aunt again that why she always hear the sound and when she have hear everyday the sound is like her mother is always talking to her like to be a good girl for example to help your aunt to do work at home. Her aunt said to her that may be you were really missing your parents to much so when you were sleep you were thinking about your parents and may be you really want to meet them again so you were dream about them.

Have you guy ever miss some one and then you were dreaming about them? I have many times. I was thinking about the one that I like but now I didn’t talk to him so much so I was dreaming about him sometimes then I was smiling too while I were sleeping. I know this because my aunt told me that I was smiling while I sleeping.

"Girl"

I have read a story called “Girl” by Jamaica Kincaid. This story is about a mother who always tells her daughter to do that and that. She wants her daughter to be a good woman in the future so that is why she always tells her daughter to do thing that she told her to like for example cook pumpkin fritters in very hot sweet oil. First I feel a bit confuse so I read the story twice to make sure that I understand more and I also using dictionary to look for the words that I don’t understand.

While I’m reading the story I get a bit struck with the story because I don’t who is talking that and also who did she or he talking to so I want to figure it out so I tried to read the story twice.My mother sometime she like to tell me to do thing like this too and then she told me that you know why I’m keep telling you to do this because I want to see you to be a good person in the future.

I HAD A HERO

This story “I HAD A HERO” by Mike Tidwell is about mike went to Zairian to teach people how to raise fish. One day he saw Ilunga digging the pond and then after that they become friends with each other. Ilunga used the shovel that mike gave it to him to gig the pond. He finished digging the pond for two months.So mike think that Ilunga is a hero for him.

Have you ever feel that someone is a hero for you? I have one which is my aunt. She is a hero for me because when always work hard with out complain anything, always kind to other people around her.She likes to help other people when they have any problem that needs help.When I am reading this story I tried to take note of the paragraph and also I usually read the story twice and also underline the important information to make me remember.

This chapter Katie tell her aunt that she always heard some sound every night and she also asked her aunt that have you hear any of the sound at night, but her aunt say no it’s was so quite at night. Katie wonders why only her that can hear the sound but other people that stay in the same house didn’t hear anything.Now she can tell that she feel afraid about this that happen only to her but not other.

I think this chapter the author can make feel like I am Katie. Its make me feel afraid and also make me follow along with the story.I think this chapter the author can make feel like I am Katie. But this kind of situation never happens to me before like I’m the only one that hears the sound.Have you guy ever have this happen.

When I have reading this chapter I try to picture along with the story and some of the word in this chapter it is hard to me to understand so I use dictionary to help me to understand the sentence.

Now Katie still feels the same. One night when she was sleep then she opens her eyes a bit because she heard some sound. She feels a bit afraid of the sound that she heard. She was sleep in her old bed room. She see a shade of the people, she felt very scare then she just close her eyes and try to sleep and pretend that she didn’t heard any of a sound.

I think this chapter makes me feel a bit afraid of the story. I have heard some of a sound before but the thing I do is just sleep and turn on a music so I cant hear any sound or may be sometime I just pray this also make me feel good too because I feel that a monk can save me. Someone may be thinking that it is a funny thing to but I believe in it.

After thought

After I have reading the article again and also use the strategies I can understand the topic more of what it happened in the article. First I thought that a guy that in love with fourteen years old student feel sorry about what he did to his wife and also to his student but actually he wasn’t feel sorry. He got in to the prison because of this criminal that he in love with fourteen years old student and also tries to run away with his student. He got in the prison because the girl is too young. This make other that have read the article think that if he did like this so how can we trust him again? Should Karen leave her child rend with him? And can we trust him that he will not do it again with his students if he still being a teacher? I think no one is going to trust him again even his family, why? Because first he is unfaithful to his wife and also try to ran out with his fourteen years old student.

Reading "Wisdom of Toad"

I have read an article called “The Wisdom of Toads” by Puerto Del Sol. This article is about a guy that got in the prison because he tries to run away with his fourteen year old student. This is the reason because this is an illegal thing to do.

This guy he is a teacher and already have wife and also have child rends but he got into the prison because of he in love with his fourteen year old student and try to ran away with this girl and have a new life together. In law it is and illegal thing that you ran away with the girl under 18 year old so he stay in the prison for many years.

When I have reading this article I have to used dictionary too because the word is so hard for met to understand, some word I never see it before. Some time I have to re-read again because I don’t understand the sentences so I have to make sure again that I have understand the sentences and also how is it related to the text before that I have read through it and also I have to read it slowly in the second time to make more understand.

Now Katie feels some is watching at her. Her uncle said that may be your parents are watching at you because they feel worry about you. Katie feels a bit afraid but also feels good too that her parents still love her and worry about her. Katie also tell Darrin that someone is watching at her but Darrin said you are crazy how come the person die watching at you.

Have you ever told some one and they don’t believe you. I never have one because my friends believe, in my group they like to tell a truth story not a fake one. Actually my group always believes other and also truth other that other people not in our group.

Reading for the Theme

Have you ever heard a story from someone that is not a truth story like a rumor?I have heard some rumor and I very hate about this kind of story,how about you guy have you? This story “the summer the sun did not blow up” written by Birmati Lakhan. This story is about sometime during the Christmas holidays,someone who had started the rumors that “just over the month that the sun would blow up, and the sea would rise and drown all the land and the entire house” these make the people in the village to fuss.Reading about a rumor story made me think that in Thailand has much kind of these people that make a rumor to make people fuss.

This story is happened sometime during that Christmas holidays, someone in the Fiji start to the rumor that “soon the sun will break, instead of sunshine and rain, showers of fire and glowing splinters would fall”. This rumors spread rapidly among the children in the village and filled them with great fear. Also her aunt told them that “would be just over a month that the sun would blow up and the sea would rise and drown all the land and the entries house” so this made them feel more fear.The children try to find the ways to save themselves, so these make their parent feel like who started the rumors.

I think the theme of this story was don’t made up story to make other fuss because it doesn’t make you and other feel good but it is going to get worse. It is not a good thing to do this kind of story like to make the story up.

As I have reading about 3 chapters it is about a girl that has no parents so I think the theme of this story is about children that have no parent, and how they alive and may be also how does this kind of situation effected on her life. and may be tell about the feeling of children that have no parents to take care of them.

Now Katie feel easy in her school because of Darrin help her. She has felt less impress. But in this chapter she feels like some one is looking at her all the time but she can’t find who that was? But she can feel that some one and that is not her friends Darrin. When she come back home she tell her uncle that she feel like some one is watching her all the time, when she was at school or even she stay in this house.

Have you ever felt like some is watching at you or some thing and you can feel it? I have some time. When I was doing my homework alone I feel like some one is looking at me but when I turn my face to look at it, it have nothing. Sometime I feel a bit afraid because at that I was sitting alone doing my homework. I think this feeling we can not improve because I think it is only our feeling may be sometime you just concentrate at sometime so it can make you feel stretch .

The Lady or the Tiger?

This story by Frank Stockton is about the princess should choose weather her lover live or die.

The story is began with the king was accused of a crime, the king would assemble his court in an arena, an enclose space with two doors; one on the right, the other on the left. One door with hungry tiger and the other door was a lady behind.The princess fell in love with a young man but her father doesn’t like him so he put him in the prison.The princess has to choose the door for the young man that she love but one door that was the lady behind, the princess hate her. Should she give the man she loved to the women that she hated? Or should she let him open the tiger’s door? She has lost him, but who should have him? The lady or the tiger?

When I have read the story called The Lady or the Tiger? By Frank Stockton I used a lot of support strategies to understand story. First in almost every paragraph I try to picture in my mind what I have just read to help me remember what I read like for example in the story first paragraph it said “ The king would assemble his court in an arena, an enclose space with two doors; one on the right, the other on the left”. So I try to picture of this sentence.

Second, I underline or circle information or ideas in the text to help me remember it. For example in the third paragraph said that “the princess love with a young man but her father not like him so her father put him into prison” so I underline this information to help me remember it. This strategy helps me to remember the important information.

On the next chapter she goes into the city to see her aunt. She goes to the city by train. She saw most of the kids in the city smoked but so far she hadn’t smoked any of the cigarettes. When she were arrived at her aunt’s house, her aunt said that she have to go to school in the city. First day of school she was so afraid because the students there were not friendly, but they didn’t bug her, either. They left her alone; she can’t leave without friends. But the next two day later she got one friend name Darrin.

When I have read this chapter it reminds me of my first day in RIST but a bit different from Katie. First day I don’t really have any friends because when I was there they already are friends with each other. But the next day later I try to ask there name so I know there name and can be friends with them. They were sp friendly to me. They talk to me like we knew each other about a month. Finally we become friends and also study in the same class.

In my opinion I think that we have to make the new student to be informally. To help them to make them feel like they were at home. If you think about your first day in some where you want to have friends or want to have some one to talk with you and make you feel informally too.

'iPhone Girl'

In this article it is about one Asian women that worked in the factory of iPhone.The one that bought this iPhone found a pictures of her in his iphone,so it is mean that this iphone is not clear.But the factory saying the woman was not fired.Why?

I think think that it is not her false becuase she is not the one who took herself photo. The photo show that she was just sitting and have someone took her pictures.Also someone in the factory name "Lui" say that may be workers testing the device took the pictures and may have forgotten to delete them. I also think that this is a big problem. As we already know that barnd new phone should have nothing inside.

Using reading strategies to read excerpts of "The Telephone" by A.F.Ancaiman

By using the strategies to read excerpts of "The Telephone"by A.F.Ancaiman. I try to guess or make predition of what the text is about before I read the inside.I try to guess why that tille is related in to the story. An when I have read it I read go back and forth in the text to find out how ideas are related to other ideas. It is like when you read the text you have to understand the text too not every words but better to understand most of the words or sentences or may be read 3-4 sentences and then read back and forth of the sentences again to make sure that you have understand it than the first time that you were read.Also I have check m understanding when I read new information like for example when I have read the first paragraph then I read the second paragraph I have to understand the second paragraph too not only the first paragraph.

I have choose reading the book called " Forver Angels katie's Angel" written by Suzanne Weyn. I have choose this book because of the cover of the book make me want to know what a girl's life going to happen in the story.when i have reading this book it make me feel wonder why angel is going to be in the story and what agel is about. And as I have reading this book, this book is about Katie when her family died she have to stay alone. First she was very happy about her life but when her pareants died her life turned upside down. She felt sad that she have to stay alone and also she have to face with many horible things that happened to her.Katies can't stop mssing her parents. she stay alone but in her mind she always felt that there 's someone special lookong out for her.

This book is different from my life because I still have my parents with me.I never how Katie going to feel like but absolutely different to my life. She have to stay alone but I'm not. she have to face with her problem alone but i can ask my parents to help or give me an ideas to develop the problem.So I have chosen this book because I want to know the feeling of children or people that their parents were died.
